System Analyst (IT Department)

Job Overview

The System Analyst oversees and maintains Chicago Midwest Home Health’s electronic medical records (EMR) platform and core IT systems. This role ensures data accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and provides timely technical support and training to staff to keep daily clinical and administrative operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support EMR including user provisioning, permissions, and templates.
• Monitor data integrity; perform routine audits and resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Ensure HIPAA and security compliance across platforms; manage access controls and logs.
• Provide Tier 1–2 technical support to clinical and office staff; escalate to vendors when needed.
• Develop and maintain reports/dashboards for operations and quality metrics.
• Coordinate software updates, testing, and change management with stakeholders.
• Create job aids and deliver training for new hires and ongoing optimization.
• Manage device inventory (laptops, tablets, phones) and basic network peripherals.
• Collaborate with leadership on workflow improvements and system integrations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience supporting healthcare systems (EMR/EHR or health IT).
• Working knowledge of HIPAA, security best practices, and user access governance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows devices and cloud/web apps.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with home health EMRs or similar (e.g., WellSky, Homecare Homebase, AlayaCare).
• Basic SQL or reporting tool proficiency (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with MDM, SSO, and MFA administration.

Work Schedule

Monday–Friday, core business hours with on-call support rotation as needed. Hybrid on-site/remote.
